 1. Shiny Waves

To get smooth, shiny waves like these, “you need a styling product that encourages the curl and holds the set,” says hairstylist Garren, who suggests mousse (we likeJohn Frieda Luxurious Volume Volume Building Mousse). “It thickens the cuticles and alters the texture slightly, so hair responds better to heat.” Curl sections all over, then deconstruct them. “Use a wide-tooth comb to break curls into waves,” says hairstylist Morgan Willhite. “If you want softer curls, use a brush.”

2. Soft Framing Wave

This is a soft face-framing wave that shouts casual chic with just the right amount of polish. Tip: Don’t over apply product or overuse the heated styler – it’ll look too “done”. Use a straightener to curl, by wrapping it round, once that builds in shine it will give that playful young finish.

 3. Random Waves

Keep waves random and tousled for a care-free feel. This is a great look on ombre hair, too.4. Skimming BobAs seen at: Burberry ProrsumSam Rolinson’s chin skimming bob was the talk of SS14 fashion week. Worth a try for those who want to show off their cheekbones.

 5. Side-Swept Layered Bob

Tip: Essentially this is all in the cut. After that, keep product to a minimum and build in the body and shine with a rough dry that is speedy and locks in moisture.

 6. Layered Short Cut for Thick Hair

Add some highlights and lowlights to your mid lengthed hair, to add some wow factor to your hair do. Product Tip: Tame wayward locks and control frizz and static with Moroccanoil Frizz Control.

Product Tip: Keep long locks in order with a brilliant Tangle Teezer Long & straightAchieve spring/summer ’14’s long and straight looks by blow-drying locks rather than straightening hair. Always opt for a centre parting for that model off-duty vibe.

So what are you waiting for? Take a risk wih your hair this spring/summer, whether its a complete change of hair cut or simply a change in styling.
